The Artz's Backyard Session

Finally, I get to blog this AMAZINGLY FUN backyard Family session! When Jason (Dad) came in for the consultation to plan the session he already knew that they wanted their family session to take place in their backyard. They live in Platteville, WI in town, so I was slightly hesitant, because how big and awesome can a backyard in town be?? Well, it can be pretty cool! They had a little "prairie" in their backyard that was beautiful! Lot's of tall grasses and flowers with pathways in between. There was a swing set, a necessary item with two little ones! A fire pit, and a deck. Can't get much better than that! I had SO MUCH FUN capturing this beautiful family in a place where everyone was comfortable. (That is so important with little ones) The kids were so relaxed because they were at HOME! We started with some family photos in the grass, then some sibling photos. Then I let the girls just play a little on the swingset, back to some more posed family photos and individuals of just the girls. We ended with a campfire and smores! The girls looked ADORABLE in their dresses and were so cute together. I could really see their personalities coming out. Linny (the older one) is very much a caretaker and CeeCee is definitely the more outgoing and silly one! I think this was such a PERFECT session. I LOVED the backyard, everyone was relaxed, and I got to get a good mix of posed and unposed photos. Check out all the fun below!
